After Words

Somehow, I’d missed all the nice comments left by reviewers and participants after the StAnza Poetry Festival, but discovering them tonight reminded me of what a good time it was.

I’m with Michael Laskey who says, “Thank you for a fine festival and all the care and friendliness of your huge team of volunteers. I loved it all. Normal life's a bit flat.”

"Normal life's a bit flat"? Well, Michael does live in East Anglia!

Heh.

Well, compared to the buzz of StAnza, real life felt flat for me for a week or two afterwards.

But it was an artificial situation at StAnza. The organisers made sure that the performers were treated extraordinarily well.

Also, all the poets spent their time being really nice to one another. I don't know if that's normal for poets!
